compromise.
For photographers who see what others miss.

THE PHOTOGRAPHER’S EYE
Every shade
tells the story.
A portrait is more than a face. A fabric is more than its colour. The finest photographs depend on subtle relationships between tone, texture and light. Maxima 3 MKII gives you a precise continuous source with which to explore them.

34,000 lumens · 320 W maximum power draw · No external ballast

Faithful skin tones.
See subtle shifts across a face as you refine direction, distance and diffusion. Feather light gradients with precision.

Texture with character.
Give fabrics, skin and surfaces room to reveal their individual qualities. Explore beyond what is normally revealed.

Sculpted by light.
Shape highlights and shadows with precision. Give every portrait a presence that’s unmistakably its own.

COLOUR SCIENCE
Precision you can measure.
Quality you can see.
The spectrum of the light, the material and the camera all contribute to the colour you record. Maxima 3 MKII pairs a carefully selected COB LED with calibration and PowerCore thermal management to provide a strong foundation for colour-critical photography.
High colour fidelity supports the workflow. Fixed white balance, controlled exposure and camera profiling help carry that fidelity into the finished file.
CRI
A reference measure of colour-rendering fidelity.
R9
Saturated-red rendition, relevant to pigments, cosmetics and textiles.
TLCI
Colour evaluation based on a standard television-camera model.
R12
Performance on the saturated-blue reference sample.

BEYOND A SINGLE SCORE
Look at the spectrum.
Your camera can only capture the colours your light allows it to see.
Every subtle variation in skin tone, every delicate pigment, every shade of a fabric begins with the spectral quality of the light illuminating it.
That’s why we engineered Maxima 3 to go far beyond impressive numbers. Its exceptional colour fidelity is the result of meticulous research, precision calibration and an uncompromising commitment to the quality of light.
Because what isn’t there in the light can’t be recovered in the image.
NATIVE PROFOTO® COMPATIBILITY
Your modifiers.
Your vision.
You’ve spent years building the light-shaping system you trust. Maxima 3 MKII lets you take that investment further with a native Profoto®-compatible mount. Compatible modifiers attach directly, without an additional Profoto® adapter.
See the light continuously. Refine highlights, reflections and contrast in real time. Add continuous illumination to your photographic toolkit while keeping the modifiers you know.

A FAMILIAR WORKFLOW
Continuous light.
New creative decisions.
Move a modifier and see the effect immediately. Shape a portrait, place a reflection or fine-tune the falloff across a surface without a test flash.
Continuous illumination complements photographic flash. Choose each for its strengths, or combine them when the image calls for both.
BOWENS® VIA LOCKING RING
One light.
More ways to shape it.
The dedicated Maxima Bowens® Locking Ring adds a separate mounting interface for compatible Bowens® light shapers. Its thumb screws make installation tool-free. The ring is included in the Bowens® kit; it is not the fixture’s native mount.

LIGHT SHAPING
Shape the light.
Define the image.
A large compatible softbox for soft portraits. A focusable 200 mm Fresnel for directional light, controlled highlights and dramatic separation. A recorded setup for the next product in the collection.
Direction, apparent source size and distance shape the transition between highlight and shadow. Maxima gives you the freedom to make those decisions deliberately.
PRODUCT PHOTOGRAPHY
Every material.
Every nuance.
From the warmth of natural wood to the richness of fine fabrics and the subtle reflections of polished surfaces, exceptional product photography demands exceptional attention to detail.
Maxima 3 brings extraordinary colour fidelity and precise light shaping to every composition, revealing the true character of the objects you photograph.

ART & EDUCATION
When fidelity
becomes essential.
Some images must do more than inspire. They must faithfully represent an original. Maxima 3 MKII provides precise daylight for controlled artwork reproduction, collection documentation and photographic education.
Work with matched illumination, consistent capture geometry, colour targets and a calibrated workflow. The light is the foundation; faithful reproduction depends on the complete imaging process.

From Maxima’s Art & Education programme

The artist chose every colour.
Your light shouldn't change a thing.
- True colours. From delicate skin tones to complex pigments, reveal subtle chromatic differences with extraordinary fidelity.
- Every detail matters. Preserve the visual character of brushwork, textures and delicate transitions through precisely controlled illumination.
- Consistency is everything. Bring the same uncompromising attention to colour across an entire collection, from the first capture to the last.
ENGINEERED IN ITALY
The light is the result.
The engineering is the obsession.
Exceptional light doesn’t happen by accident. Behind every subtle tonal transition and every faithfully reproduced colour lies an extraordinary amount of engineering. From our patented copper cooling system to precision electronics and meticulous calibration, every component of Maxima 3 MKII serves one purpose: delivering remarkable light with absolute confidence.
Made in Italy. Built around the photographer, not the other way around.

THERMAL MANAGEMENT
Consistency starts at the core.
Our patented PowerCore heatsink uses 30 forged copper fins to keep temperatures under control, preserving the exceptional performance of the LED. Three operating modes let you find the ideal balance between output and noise-level.
CONTROL
Hands-on. Connected.
Beautiful light should be effortless to control. Tactile, hands-on adjustments keep you connected to your setup, while MaximaControl brings advanced wireless operation to your smartphone. DMX-512 is there for all your studio rigging needs.
INTEGRATION
Processing power for your craft.
Power, processing and control, seamlessly integrated into one beautifully engineered fixture. No external ballast. No unnecessary boxes or cables. 200.000 fps flicker-free operation: the realm of impossible is now visible.
INDEPENDENT TESTING
A reputation earned
through precision.
In 2022, Matthew Allard measured the highest extended CRI he had ever recorded from any light, setting a new benchmark for LED colour fidelity. Nearly four years and countless tests later, Maxima 3 still held that distinction.
